What does a PSO do?
PSOs are positioned at train station across Victoria between 6pm to 3am each day to help protect the 400,000 commuters who use the train network. PSOs are responsible for:
- Proactively monitoring train commuters and maintaining a visible presence
- Assisting the public with general enquiries
- Providing advice and ensuring the community feels safe
- Addressing incidents of anti-social behaviour including alcohol, drug related offences and property damage.
